This is quite interesting. The sense of being aligned with information is a familiar phenomenon. First time I’ve hear boyd present, although I’ve read some of her papers. I appreciate her astute analysis of the challenges and opportunities that are presented by social media.
another great talk from danah! really enjoyed the exhortation to provide for contexts that enable users to reach that flow state: “the key is to get away from our utopian and [dystopian] ideas…” yes, yes!
