eZdia is a networking site like linkedin. But unlike linkedin it allows users to update their resumes i.e skills in the knowledge bucket pool. If you develop or learn new you skills one has to simply update them in the knowledge bucket and the new skills will be added to the already existing ones.

I have stopped using sites like twitter, each ‘droplet’ of info is recorded. these sites are all scanned. Also if you use an encrypted pc from ibm/ microsoft with its ‘cool’ print recognition system , it can track everything . if innocent and not worth monitoring it is stored or sold to consumer and advertising companies.

I have found a new p2p network called Global Herald Network that let people share information with peers all over the world. If you have a question, an opinion or something you want to promote, you can post it on the network with the free client software Herald for peers to find and read. A person only need to make 1 post to reach everyone on the network. This new p2p network is different, and its awesome.

Social Networking can have many benefits when a network is designed properly. We design many social networks that help businesses work together more efficiently.

I am so glad I don’t belong to the generation using these services….We could all benefit from more time alone contemplating, reading books etc.

    agreed

we tend to glamorize/romanticize the connections that happen online. at the very best they lead to meeting real people and forging real connections, but that is rare.

it’s used for ‘networking’ for our ‘careers’ or for our lives as consumers–that’s the ‘value’ as the speaker says

    work/consume/work/consume/work/consume….

Really? I was afraid of that based on the heading and now refuse to watch the video. The word social networking in a new and great context is a lie because it has not been done, not in the Internet nor in the society. ForaTV, think please.
